Its activities range from iron ore extraction from its own mines, continuing with the manufacture of steel and the production of high value added finished products, until they are distributed. As a manufacturer of laminated steel, coated steel, long steel, steel pipes and profiles, Ternium develops industrial activities to meet the needs of the industrial, commercial, automotive and construction markets. Its production facilities are located in Nuevo Leon, Puebla, Coahuila, Jalisco, Colima, Michoacán and San Luis Potosí, in addition to those located in the United States, Argentina, Brazil, Colombia and Guatemala.
With the start of operations at its Ternium Industrial Center, the company has a greater offer of steel applications for the automotive and home appliances industries that meet the highest specifications required by the sector.
Ternium also produces steel products coated with zinc or with a zinc-aluminum alloy, which increase their corrosion resistance. In addition, some of these products are coated with paint on one or both sides to improve their appearance.
Through the transformation process, corrugated ribbing, rectangular ribbing, smooth sheets and strips are produced. The former are used in the construction industry, in ceilings and facades. The smooth sheets and strips are used mainly in the industrial sector.
